Indeed, some children growing up with Manga and Anime characters. Therefore, it is essential for parents, social workers, counsellors, teachers, and care takers to communicate with the children by gaining sufficient understanding about the world of Manga. We use Manga as Art Therapy for children to understand the characters, story and awareness of the fantasy, fiction and reality. In addition, they can learn how to draw strength and positive learning from Manga as well.

Course Objectives: 

To learn how to draw and ink Manga Art (Japanese comics) with confidence

To learn the techniques of various features of Manga Art from basic to advance level

To learn how to create Manga characters, storyboard and chapterization

Course Structure: 

Manga Art Course curriculum will be organised in multiple levels. Students must complete and be competent at every level before proceeding to the next level. In other words, they may choose to repeat the level if necessary. 

The following is the syllabus breakdown:

Each level is recommended for a minimum of 10 hours 

Each level is recommended for a minimum of 5 sessions

Unless otherwise stated, it will be a minimum of 1.5 hours per session

Each level must be completed within 3 months upon registration

• Manga human features, proportion, sketch and storyboard drawing techniques
• Muscular features and movement for Manga characters
• Draw and create personalities for different Manga characters and age group
• Background for Storyboard
• Inking techniques
• Effects and tones
• Mecha Manga features
• Manga costumes design
• Weapons and machinery for Manga
• Storyboard layout and chapters development

• This course is by professional artist and art teacher Mr. Paul Lee Thiam Seng who is trained in fine arts and experienced in teaching art since 1995.

• Course run by level, 5 lessons per level, 1 hour per lesson

Fee and TimeTable : 

• $285 per level (5 online lessons, 1 hour per session)
• To be completed within 3 months from the date of registration, otherwise, it will be expired and forfeited.
